Felted Flannel Backpack

I'm a sucker for backpacks. This seems like just the project I need to get back in my knitting-groove. I am using size 8/16" circular needles and Patons Classic Merino Wool (225 Dk Grey Mix). I got this pattern from the 'Patons Designer Series' book.
